Personal Statement
Medicine has always been a part of my life. My ability to communicate clearly and concisely is the key to the success of my relationship with the patient, and I am working on improving this communication skill through being a supplementary instructor and tutor.
I enjoy working in a team but also as an individual, and taking responsibility for my own work in a challenging environment. I am eagerly waiting for the chance to learn the rest.
I intend to take full advantage of a residency program in internal medicine, and to use the knowledge I acquired there to heal patients and train others interested in the field, always wanting to be a resource for my patients and a source of continual medical care.

Clinical Experience
I use my practical experience to gather a full medical history and perform a thorough physical examination, looking for signs of inflammation throughout the whole body and musculoskeletal system, along with family history which is very important to the diagnosis of rheumatoid diseases.
In addition, I review the results of any prior testing and may order additional lab tests to assess conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, SLE, gout, ankylosing spondylitis, scleroderma, osteoporosis, osteonecrosis, fibromyalgia, chronic back pain, myopathies and vasculitides.
Regarding rehabilitation, I use my knowledge in determining rehabilitation programmes and sessions for injured, post-operative and traumatic MSK regions with a full neurological examination and radiological assessment.
I can set treatment plans including medical and physical therapy for joint/tendon injuries as well as referral to specialists if needed.
I also give advice about medication, coping mechanisms and techniques for preventing disability or regaining function, as a way to improve quality of life.
