What it is
SpineMED is a computerised spinal decompression device that relieves pressure on damaged discs without causing muscle spasm, creating conditions for natural disc healing.
What it treats
Cervical and lumbar disc herniation, disc degeneration, herniated or bulging discs (over 4 weeks), failed back surgery pain (over 6 months), and spinal deformity or scoliosis.
What to expect
20–25 sessions of 30 minutes each, conducted 3–5 times per week over 4–6 weeks. Sessions are safe, comfortable, and pain-free.
SpineMED at Alimran Medical Center
SpineMED® is designed to target damaged spinal cord segments and decompress the vertebrae without triggering the reflex muscle contractions that limit conventional traction devices. By monitoring the stress applied to the patient every 2.5 seconds and making adjustments every 20 seconds, SpineMED delivers precise and consistent decompressive forces.
The goal of decompression is to create negative intradiscal pressure, allowing fluids, nutrients and oxygen to flow back into the disc. This exchange process supports the body's natural reconstruction mechanisms and can accelerate healing in damaged spinal discs. Reducing intradiscal pressure can also help restore herniated nucleus material back toward the centre of the disc, relieving pressure on adjacent nerve roots.
SpineMED is indicated for cervical and lumbar disc herniation and degeneration, pain from swollen herniated discs persisting more than four weeks, chronic pain following failed back surgery lasting more than six months, and spinal deformity or scoliosis. A typical course consists of 20 to 25 sessions, each 30 minutes, conducted 3 to 5 times per week over 4 to 6 weeks.
