What it is
Luna EMG is a robotic rehabilitation device that uses electromyography (EMG) signals from the patient's muscles to drive active, personalised therapy — training the sensorimotor cortex directly.
What it treats
Stroke, spinal cord injury, MS, ALS, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, peripheral nerve disorders, pelvic floor dysfunction, and post-surgery recovery.
What to expect
Sessions involve active patient participation using bioelectric signals. A 6-channel electromyograph and torque sensor enable personalised training programs with exportable clinical assessments.
Luna EMG robot at Alimran Medical Center
The Luna EMG robot is a revolution in neurological rehabilitation and orthopaedic therapy. Unlike passive therapy devices, Luna uses interactive electromyography (EMG) — the patient's own bioelectric muscle signals — to drive the movement. This active approach is particularly effective for patients with clinical weakness, as it recruits more motor units during muscle activation and trains the sensorimotor cortex.
The device features a 6-channel electromyograph, integrated torque sensor, and position measurements, enabling comprehensive kinesiotherapy with personalised automatic training programs. Clinical assessments can be exported in PDF or CSV format. A wide range of interchangeable attachments makes Luna adaptable to upper and lower limb rehabilitation, and its portable design allows use at the patient's bedside.
Luna EMG is indicated for: stroke recovery, incomplete spinal cord injury, spina bifida, multiple sclerosis, ALS, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy, any partial peripheral neurological disorder, pelvic floor dysfunction and urinary incontinence, bone formation complications, and post-surgical recovery.
